Why we selected them
A neighborhood gathering place, with doughnuts.
Our 2026 Food & Drink Editorial Pick celebrates Dough-Joe’s for its local beginnings and community-minded purpose. Founders Eric Disch and Anna Margaret Roth met at Wake Forest University and chose to build their business in Winston-Salem. They started in 2017 and opened their Reynolda Village shop in 2019. We selected the shop for making a familiar pairing—doughnuts and coffee—the center of a welcoming place to gather.
